FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do you have a waitlist?
A: No, currently we do not operate on a wait list. However, we are scheduled several months in advance for testing clients.

Q: Do you take Insurance/Medicaid?
A: Yes, we are currently in network with the following insurance companies:

  • Anthem Commercial Plans and Anthem Medicaid
  • Humana Commercial Plans
  • Humana Healthy Horizons Medicaid
  • Aetna Better Health of KY
  • Passport by Molina
  • KY Medicaid

We also have private pay options and can accept Care Credit if necessary.
*Please note that insurance coverage varies, and portions of the evaluation may not be covered by medical insurance.

Q: Do you have a prescriber or do medication management?
A: No, we currently do not have a prescriber on staff. Please check with your insurance company for a list of approved prescribers.

Q: What does the evaluation process look like?
A: The process usually occurs in 3-4 parts

  • The Intake Appointment- this appointment lasts about one hour and occurs in our office. It includes the completion of new patient paperwork, a clinical interview with the provider, and a review of developmental history, concerns, and goals for the evaluation.
  • The Testing Appointment- This in-office appointment can last between 2 and 4 hours, and more than one appointment may be necessary. This appointment occurs in our office and can include the administration of standardized tests, structured interviews, behavioral observations and interviews with parents, teachers, and other relevant individuals with consent.
  • Written Report and Feedback- Once all the data has been collected and analyzed, the client will receive a comprehensive written report with results, interpretations, recommendations, and diagnoses. The client may return to the office or schedule a telehealth appointment for a feedback session with the clinician.

Q: What is the difference between a psychologist and an LPA?
A: A “Licensed Psychological Associate” or LPA is a person who has completed a master's degree, is licensed by the Board of Psychology, and is supervised by a Licensed Psychologist. They are able to provide mental health therapy and conduct evaluations. Dr. Keller supervises the 3 LPAs on our staff.
