A: The process usually occurs in 3-4 parts

  • The Intake Appointment- this appointment lasts about one hour and occurs in our office. It includes the completion of new patient paperwork, a clinical interview with the provider, and a review of developmental history, concerns, and goals for the evaluation.
  • The Testing Appointment- This in-office appointment can last between 2 and 4 hours, and more than one appointment may be necessary. This appointment occurs in our office and can include the administration of standardized tests, structured interviews, behavioral observations and interviews with parents, teachers, and other relevant individuals with consent.
  • Written Report and Feedback- Once all the data has been collected and analyzed, the client will receive a comprehensive written report with results, interpretations, recommendations, and diagnoses. The client may return to the office or schedule a telehealth appointment for a feedback session with the clinician.
